The only way to guarantee you'll get a Full, Genuine and Activated version of Windows 10 is to Upgrade from your qualifying version of Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1. Both Terry and Gabe have said this a number of times, in blogs and tweets. People still keep talking about licensees 'carrying over' but I've never seen anything official from MS about that. Didn't work for me. 10162 wouldn't show up on 10130, 10147, 10158 or 10159. All were activated, had my Insiders MSA and in the Fast ring Only thing that worked was going back to 10074.
I started my qualified w7 sp1, upgraded to 10130, then 10158, 10159, 10162, all without any problems, and each upgrade took about an hour.(SSD)
Strange I have a legit W7 ultimate serial but I can't activate this version with that can you do an slmgr -dlv and check if it's the same serial ?
yea, its definitely a head-scratcher not being able to activate Windows 10 with a Windows 7 product key.. lol
Sure I just try to figure out what happens with the original key when you upgrade to insiders build that's all
No but I'm gonna test it on my Windows 7 Ultimate right now ! Downside it is running in an virtual machine
there is no quality difference with all available version, all same sh1t since the root is the same for all of them. Only features make them different and these depend on your needs
