not sure if ent is necessary, too many stuff which nobody really needs except companies in Thailand taking the OS away (Is a joke for Pisthai)
start cmd with elevated privileges run the following commands: cd\ dir windows.old Attrib -r -a -s -h C:\Windows.old /S /D TAKEOWN /f Windows.old /a /r RD /s Windows.old - then type y for yes Done.
Is Takeownernship command a need command? I ask this because i am under the impression that since we are sysadmins in out ownsystem why wouldn't we just skip this step?
From my understanding, Windows Updates aren't applied automatically (or you have more control over when and/or what is applied) on Enterprise, whereas it's auto-download all updates (including drivers) on Pro. I haven't used Enterprise though, so I don't really know, but maybe I'll give this upgrade thing a shot. Since I have the official iso, does that mean I can enter an Enterprise key right at install? Or do I still have to take the Pro > Enterprise upgrade path?
I believe it's a protected system file so yup you would have to use it. I don't think you can just use UAC to remove it.
Afaik still needs to install Pro then upgrade to Ent, alternatively you can try to convert mounted Pro index.
Havent seen anything either. I'm 100% sure that there's a registry key where you can change the location of the wallpaper that is applied Now as to where to find it
it is clearly said here on MDL that when entering the appropriate key, you can get enterprise. Note that ent is not free after RTMed though. Future enterprise users who like to get a free ent version will be faced to use a KSM station or a new MTK since ent is a volume device like in the past. New protocol will be needed to decrypt the activation thing for activated use ... that might take a while Your ent key which you have on hand will be old as usual when a new ent comes out
When you use Windows disk clean there is a button on the bottom left that says. "Clean up system files" Click that one, it will scan the disk, then open a new windows Just pick what you want removed and done.
Conversion needs Win 10 ADK RC to be installed to use imagex. Code: dism /mount-wim /wimfile:"d:\win\install.wim" /index:1 /mountdir:"d:\win\mount" dism /Image:"d:\win\mount" /Get-TargetEditions dism /Image:"d:\win\mount" /Set-Edition:Enterprise dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:"d:\win\mount" /commit imagex /flags "Enterprise" /info d:\win\install.wim 1 "Windows 10 Enterprise Preview" "Windows 10 Enterprise Preview"
How is the driver situation with Windows 10 this close to release? Creative X-Fi (Titanium HD) still not working?
