Some had problems with a Kingston USB DataTraveler 100 G3 (DT100G3) in Windows 8.1 update?? I Want Windows 10 passes via Rufus, but walks with system problems. I put it to the test in 8.1 and xp and zero problems.
I have the 32 GBs. Use XP with Rufus and zero problems, but want to install the system(Windows 10 Build 10162), I get error. (We could not create a new partition or find an existing one. If you want more.) The 8.1 update error'm pretty sure it's a problem with a system update.
1) Insert USB flash drive 2) Open elevated command prompt or Windows PowerShell as Admin 3) Type diskpart then ENTER 4) Type list disk then ENTER 5) Type select disk <X> where X is the USB flash drive 6) Type clean then ENTER 7) Type create part primary then ENTER 8) Type select part 1 then ENTER 9) Type format fs=ntfs quick then ENTER -- For UEFI type format fs=fat32 quick then ENTER 10) Type active then ENTER 11) Type exit then ENTER 12) Save extracted files from Windows image to the USB flash drive 13) Done.
That wouldn't brings back the HDD to virgin state if not any physical errors on that HDD. All old Data will still be there and some could be brought back with an Recovery Tool. And just to mention: LLFMT could also be used on flash drives etc.!
OK, thanks. Have to test later again! 2 hour after getting will be ok but 5 or more! It has nothing to do with how old the ESD really is, it's just the time after the link were provided by MS!
