Gabe on twitter announced no build today. That is for those idiots who claim new build today like 10166
That is hard to believe. Then everyone in the world can become an insider and get free Windows for life Like I said I have plenty of qualifying OS licenses, thanks to my IT Business and old Technet and MSDN accounts which I no longer subscribe to. I used about 7 or 8 of my licenses out of a total of 40 I paid for over 5 years ago. I do not have but one 8.1 license which came pre-installed on my Asus laptop. Anyway, the point I am making is, what happens if I opt out of the Insider Program today? Does 10162 suddenly stop working and therefor I have to reinstall 7? The reason I am asking this question, is because I want to reserve my copy of 10 asap, but I do not want the hassle of having to reinstall Windows 7 just to do that one simple function. Seems insane to me to have to do that when you have a legit license to 7 Ultimate. It must be a security issue at play and Microsoft going that route helps make sure all free upgrades are earned. And yes I too do not trust Microsoft. I want to reserve my copies of 10 BEFORE something makes them change their minds. LOL
ohoh..Latest known Windows 10 RTM candidate (RTM branch is th1): 10.0.10208.16384 I guess that means 176 is DOA. And now we know why 192 and 208 were made. I'm guessing that also means no signoff tomorrow.
I keep hearing that all week, and yet nothing has happened. RTM is coming, RTM is coming. Sounds like Paul Revere to me.
Yeah, I don't want to clean install either. My upgrades have been going quite nicely though. I do have some sort of USB issues that I can't explain. When I plug my USB 3.0 drives in, it takes like 20 seconds for 10162 to register them, and then when I eject it takes another 15 seconds or so to eject. I bet if I clean install 162 this issue may go away but I'm not sure, nor willing to clean install the same build just to check that theory. If I had a new build, say 208, then I would have reason to see if a clean install fixes my USB issue. Anyway, I am just very bored and want something to do today. lol
I wonder what the problem was in 176 that they couldn't fix in 192 and caused them to build 208. Wonder how far that set them back.
I need a clean install; my 10162 install is messy Hopefully some build comes before Friday... I want to play Path of Exile (new xpac comes out), and would love to start on a relatively clean Windows install + AMD's new graphics driver
why not create a new local account (admin) keep all your files, log in with new account, then delete your MSA,reboot, log in and re-create your MSA ,then you can delete the other account, this fixes a lot of issues.
