and I wonder if any of those ^ are the one really bad app problem that is keeping MS from signing off on RTM.
so far this build is pretty stable.....had issues with the start menu in one of my comps not opening, but got it fix...so all is good now
i had audio issues, what did is i deleted the driver re-install and now is working fine, everything else seems to be running fine
Are you using AMD or NVIDIA (sig says NVIDIA, but just checking)? There's a long outstanding and random issue on AMD where if the screen sleeps, there's a chance it won't come back, and there doesn't seem to be any one issue that causes it. I had it happen under a good variety of scenarios, but haven't seen it happen on Windows 10 yet (7 and 8.1 had it; Linux doesn't). I've seen the sleep issue with an AMD GPU on the 1.0 version of that ASRock board. Haven't heard of it on NVIDIA, but perhaps the same issue could be related.
I'm having a Start Menu issue. Upgrade from 162 via WU I can't use the Start Menu - Power to shut down or reboot, I have to either right click the Windows Flag or CTRL-ALT-DEL and use the lock screen. Is this an "upgrade" issue or a build issue that I need to get a fix for. Thanks... T
create a regular user account......delete your MS account then log in local with user account....check start menu if working u can log back in with MS account...then u can delete the user account......this trick fixed the issue for me.
I don't get this. Isn't there a feature update for Threshold? So wouldn't 500 be threshold update 2, then once that is near completion then another jump for redstone?
That sounds messy enough for me to just do a clean install at that point I wonder if there's some consistent way to "break" the start menu though. I've only seen it not work for me back on 10130 and I think 10147 when I didn't sign in with a Microsoft account (and also disabled UAC), but without doing those two things, the start menu was fine.
It's user profile related so if you create a new Profile it's fixed also for gods sake if you disable uac nothing works properly anymore, don't disable it.
huh? Might not be related with UAC, never had any issues by disabling UAC with either this build or any previous one. I remember having that very same problem, Start Menu would not open, but it went away with time.
