If I understand right. At first he have Windows 8.1 Core (Not Pro) and then he join insider program. Microsoft provide him pro edition. So now he's using Windows 10 Pro as insider. His question is he wonder if he opt-out in 29th, so he isn't an insider anymore. Will his Winodws 10 Pro still activated or it will automatic downgrade to Windows 10 Home or it just deactivate and he need to roll back to Windows 8.1 and go by Windows Update.
don't know how many more commas i can put in, my original oem os 8.1 wasn't pro, when i joined insiders all the builds that i received through win upgrades were pro builds, if i stay an insider do you think when the final build is pushed to the public and us,that microsoft will still give me pro builds, i was wondering what would happen to my os if i opted out after the 29th, would i still be activated with pro build, or would i have to downgrade to be equal to what i originally had.
So you're asking my opinion. There's no way to know for sure what they will do. My guess? If you're activated after upgrading, it will stay activated for the version you were using when it registered on their servers. I don't know when the cutoff build would be. At some point activations before a certain time likely didn't count. After a certain build they probably did. I really don't know. I could be wrong. It's entirely possible that they're just being really lenient and allowing a lot that they wouldn't normally allow. I will say this: MS does not revoke activation lightly. They have only done it once to my knowledge. It was when we were using kms activated tokens for prowmc free upgrades on win8. Dec10-2012 they issued a wat update and it slowly removed activation for everyone who had the kms partial component. I've never seen them remove someone's activation any other time. Typically it's more of an issue to get re-activated on hardware change/re-install.
It's easy , open new notepad , copy paste save file as PhotoViewer.reg then open that reg file, click yes, all it's be Ok that's all, :* Enjoy
i have windows 8.1 pro -peremptorily activated , now i'm downloading windows 10240, can any one explain : = Upgrade from a Win7 (activated by daz loader in BIOS or CSM mode) or a legit 7/8/8.1 activated system (no KMS) After upgrade, make sure your system is activated After your system was activated you can clean install and just skip the key entry and it will be activated* *Only seems to fresh-install reactivate if legit activation was used, not Loader ------------------------------------------------------- how do upgrade with windows 10 ISO? then , what is "clean install ".. i don't understand, anyone can explain easy, step by step Thanx all , IT's day, our feast, in all Arabian Muslims, i Won's use KMSpico v10.0.7 Beta -to act windows 10
Didn't they say that it wouldn't activate with a key but only if you have your Insider account tied with your installation? Confused about the activation process at the moment. I had build 10130 installed before, but went back to Windows 8.1 after finding out a few of my programs and games were either not working or really buggy. Currently downloading the 10240 ISO, hoping it will activate.... or does it not apply to older builds such as 10130 since they changed the key after that build? Either way, here's to hoping it activates when I get around to installing it.
N00b question : If i make a fresh install....and if the 29' a new build will be out. Will my windows be updated by Windows update, or no ? Thanks
If you make a fresh install and it activated, make sure you set to get insider build in Windows Update. Then you'll get the new build when it available
It depends what kind of activation TranzTeKk had on win8.1. If it was KMS, then you're likely correct.
whats steps for upgrading to that-windows10240, with Iso file ? ------------ do you mean extract iso in new folder, then open setup.exe and follow steps, or there is another method
Ah, I forgot to mention I was part of the Insider Program since they announced it. However, I'm sure that makes no difference. Thanks for the heads up though. I was planning on doing a clean install then just logging onto my Insider Preview (MSA) account, hoping that would activate it, since I think I'm going to stick with the program. If that's not the case, then I deeply regret reinstalling Windows 8.1.
It seems the security update KB3074663 is responsible for the activate watermark displayed at the lower right-hand corner of your screen. Uninstalling the update removes it from your desktop.
