ํัYes, just extract or mount the iso and open setup.exe I just done that and still activated Ps. My Windows 8.1 is retail key
First time I do a clean install with 10240 and it not activated (I am insider since 2014). Then second time I reinstall 10166 and plan to update by WU. But I can't activated 10166 (Because Microsoft Deactivate the key for activate right now). So I do a clean install with 8.1 pro and activated with my own key. Then I upgrade from 8.1 pro to 10240. Finally it's activated! And just test to clean install again without input the key and it still activated! Hope this help you
I guess it depends if the activation servers have your system recorded or not. If they do, a simple upgrade or clean install would likely be activated. If they don't, then they won't. We have no idea what their servers hold.
Wait really?!? I thought those still worked if people installed a generic key then upgraded. That's too bad. BTW as I said, I'll laugh if MS pop up a message saying "lol you upgraded from 7 Home. Wat u doin on 10 Pro?"
10240 version is with bugs. I have lost all explorer and start menu but waiting 2 min all is back. I thing later today or tomorrow will be update from 14 july.
i had windows 7 activated with Daz loader and had the get free windows10 app, then i upgraded from within windows 7 to 10, loaded that up it was activated straight away, no keys or Microsoft account entered, then i put in my new ssd for windows 10, did a fresh install on that and it was activated. the old OS hard drive was taken out.
yes, we used this for an older build. Brings Photo Viewer back and working fine. Spoiler Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ; Change Extension's File Type [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.jpg] @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff" ; Change Extension's File Type [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.jpeg] @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff" ; Change Extension's File Type [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.gif] @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff" ; Change Extension's File Type [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.png] @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff" ; Change Extension's File Type [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.bmp] @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff" ; Change Extension's File Type [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.tiff] @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff" ; Change Extension's File Type [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.ico] @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff"
I think MS intentionally left this to be activated in any possible way lol (still waiting for the Redmond cream pie to the face on or around the 29th)
If everything looks yellow you have a bad colour profile for your monitor (often the case with Samsung monitors i find).
Not necessarily. I have a friend who has a yellow tint during photo viewing and gaming with his W10 installation (10240), yet looks fine the rest of the time. I don't think it has to do with color profiles. :/ Might be a video driver issue. Could be wrong, but I don't think so.
I have 3 computers. Two were upgraded to insider. The other clean install from insider. All 3 have different msa accounts. All of them updated and activated with same generic key now. Also all opt out. It really was a non issue. So I assume a clean install will be all good?
Clean install of Windows 10 Build 10130. Upgraded to 10135, 10147, 10166 and now 10240. Installed also the security update KB3074663, and nothing of displaying the watermark. Checked the activation. No timebomb. FULLY ACTIVATED.
yes exactly! and everyone currently activated will have their service terminated July 29th 2015 Just like forgetting to pay the electric bill. Zap, no more cold beer in the fridge
Hi @murphy78! I downloaded esd file. I checked SHA1 hash and that is correct. But when i used esd-decrypter-wimlib-6 to build iso file, the SHA1 of ESD file was changed. Why? is that OK? Is the iso file created correctly??
