There is no RTM people. Everything has changed. This is the TH1, stable channel build. You'll get updates, but eventually you'll be prompted to install TH2. I think M$ will never confirm that this is the final version, since they're changing the way windows are released. Windows as a service i'll never be a finished OS, and will get some polish thru codename updates. Bu that's just my 2 cents.
Thank you for the reply. There are thousands of posts, some users having issues some being successful..some getting lucky...some getting error messages after a few days being activated..etc. That is why I asked. I will do a search on how to convert ESD to ISO. Thank you.
That ist wrong, TH2 has the build number 105xx and is the next big update Windows 10.1 alias Redstone.
Does anyone know how to get the notification system to stop showing me popups about disabled services? I have every conceivable notification option disabled, but still seeing "security center disabled" and related notifications.
Anybody have an issue with logging in to your Microsoft account? I try to convert my local account to a MS account, however when I log in, the dialogue box just disappears and it stays as local. It did the same during the setup with a fresh install, also.
On an Test machine I installed Enterprise 10240 64bit and was need to activate. I used MTK 2.5.3 and that worked well. Now I started again on the same machine to change and install 32bit and would like to see if the Activation will still works. For the previous and now I use clean install. Reason for that is, we need to get slowly ready for the change at our customers and I'll play with different scenarios for to be ready at the time we get next month the new KMS Servers installed and have to upgrade quite some amount of office computers. Most of them will still use 32bit OS and Apps. Now, let see how that will go!
Anyone got any clever ideas how I can get a genuinely activated x86 10240 Pro en-GB (or just ESD), when I have only en-GB x64 ISOs of 10240? Now that MS disabled previous builds activation
yesterday I did a clean install of 10240 and skip the keys and create a local account... when the install finished... my windows was activated without problems... I have to said my laptop have been part of windows insider since the beginning.
I assume that you used a Microsoft Account for your Upgrade and then when you clean installed it you used the same Microsoft Account? Try this: Create another Microsoft Account and use that to clean install 10240 (no Upgrades) and see if it will automatically activate? As a matter of fact I'll even try that myself within the next few days when I have time.
One of the reason I re-install (clean) again on 32bit for to see that activation from the 64bit has kept at MS. I use an Insider Account for that and if they kept the Hardware ID, that new installed 32bit should be automatically activated again. The Hardware ID of that computer were never used on any OS because that Machine were only working with Linux (Debian) before. In about 30min. latest I'll know what will be?!
