so if make install enterprise in my vmware and use my e-mail which i'm insider program 4-5 months now i will have retail activation and not MAK?
The honest answer napalms is that we don't know in regards to the key you now have - I presume it is the same key as everyone else who has done the same as you. There isn't a clear indication either way if you (and the rest who upgraded like this, myself included) will remain activated after 29th July. It would be nice but who knows at this stage. Worst case scenario, you can clean-install Windows 8.1 and take the upgrade path Microsoft want you to use on or after the 29th. Just have fun for now and keep an eye on this forum of any news between now and the 29th.
You did restore it to the same hardware of an already activated machine? It's only purpose is to establish if connection is required when re-install to the same hardware mate. Atari is testing now, he'll post back soon.
As an Insider I couldn't activate my Enterprise version I upgraded from previous build. That's the validity for the reason why I switched to Professional edition.
That is the bold option if you aren't going to purchase a Windows 10 Enterprise license or product key.
Did you activate your system using ENterprise while logged in as an insider before trying to upgrade?
I think everybody now has that, I know I do..I wouldn't worry about it because you can't transfer it to another machine anyway. Nobody expects it to become deactivated after the 29th, this OS(10240) will never expire.
are you sure this should works on this build and not in the last one ? cauze i have curiousity try in my vmware with my e-mail insider
Not right now, no. They've stopped the insider key activations. I don't know when they'll start it again. You had to have activated and gotten the activation on their servers when they were activating.
Funny is why is Microsoft telling some windows reviewer customers that Build 10240 from insider fast and slow ring isn't RTM version?
It's getting WORSE. These apply to Windows 10 Home & Pro. Microsoft Confirms Windows 10 Updates Cannot Be Stopped. With just 12 days before release Microsoft has finally published its Windows 10 end user license agreement (EULA) and the big news is it confirms a feature some fear: Windows 10 updates cannot be stopped. Here’s the official line: “The software periodically checks for system and app updates, and downloads and installs them for you. You may obtain updates only from Microsoft or authorized sources, and Microsoft may need to update your system to provide you with those updates. By accepting this agreement, you agree to receive these types of automatic updates without any additional notice.” In short: Windows 10 will automatically download and install updates and you have no option to switch them off.
Yes, I did! Microsoft refused to activate me when upgrading to 101240. I even used the Contact Support for assistance and the person on duty that day couldn't help . In fact, he expected me to use a purchased product key. I was dumbfounded by what I experienced as an Insider.
