If people are having hard time seeing things on computer, set resalution at 1900x1080, bring up IE, at very top, right click, I have first 4 boxes checked, but make sure status bar is checked, then in bottom right hand corner you see little box with 100% in it, click on that, raise it to 150%, even has custom for your own number, works on all OS's. Edge is like Crome as far as making it bigger. I know Edge comes up by default, but you can change that in control panel/default programs
Yep. It still says 6.3 for compatibility reasons so older programs aren't thrown off by the NT 10.0 build number. There's a new API (I forgot what it is) to get the true kernel version. If the program doesn't have a manifest file explicitly declaring support for 10, then it will see it as 6.3/Windows 8.1.
anyone experience a bug wherein even I clicked the background application (example mozilla) it do not go to front? I tried it between chrome and mozilla.. Even though I click the mozilla it remains on background. Same with other folders and applications. Upgraded from windows 8.1, haven't tried clean install though
This happens to me sometimes. Even in folders. Also when copying something etc the progress bar window stays in the background.
thank you for response will try to uninstall/disable some applications like display fusion.. might be an application issue in my case if it only happens sometimes in your case.
right... Windows 10 (10240) is working fine now, I used Reset PC option; which deleted all settings and apps apparently and kept personal files only, works fine so far. I guess upgrading in place from build to build really sucks and broke the system, too much for their bragging rights. Even tiles work properly now, everything seems fine and better, and I wrote this using Microsoft Edge. Long story short.. : DO NOT UPGRADE FROM BUILD TO BUILD / Avoid if possible, use the "Reset PC" Option from Settings -> Recovery had you had to upgrade and encountered issues, this will clear all settings and installed programs but will keep personal files.
i find this one in my insider hub: Activating Enterprise Of Builds 10240 As we prepare for the public release of Windows 10, pre-release product keys will no longer activate Insider Preview. For Enterprise editions, starting with Build 10240, you’ll need to activate with your organization’s Volume License keys (KMS or MAK) or VL keys acquired via MSDN subscription. VL keys will be made available via Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) and MSDN soon, stay tuned.
It's too late to explain not to upgrade from build to build, because we are in the last preview build. And I think upgrade from this build to RTM not be problem.
Right click an image file, choose "Open with", click "choose another app" and WIndows Photo Viewer is in the list. Not sure why people are posting registry edits to enable it. I've never had to do that, it's always been there.
