Yes. Atari and several others have now posted that they have successfully done it. Edit: Sorry I mis-read your post. I don't know about changing from Ultimate to Pro.
In Win 10, go to control Panel, click on System, click on advanced system settings, click on hardware tab, click on device installation.
oday, Windows Insider head Gabriel Aul revealed that Windows 10 fabricate 10240 have some additional performance improvements in Edge: For those unaware, the SunSpider JavaScript Benchmark is developed by the Apple Webkit development team. Microsoft has claimed its latest browser Microsoft Edge is faster than Chrome and Safari in their own benchmark tests! So there you go, Microsoft Edge has become the browser we always wanted it to be, and since build 10240 is believed to be the RTM, this is pretty much the closest you can get to the version that’s supposed to launch on July 29. Although intended for the iOS, Mac, and Windows versions of Safari, which are powered by the Webkit engine, it is popularly used to benchmark browsers across platforms. Among all the browsers that we know, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer has been the one that’s most ridiculed. Microsoft could use this as an opportunity to promote the Edge browser, though it will be short-lived if people do not find it any different from the beleaguered internet explorer. Windows 10 will be a free download for Windows 7 and Windows 8 users. Microsoft Edge will arrive in Windows 10 as a universal app, meaning that it’ll be available with the same look and feature portfolio not only on PCs but also on tablets and smartphones. In the latest blog post, he noted that Edge outperforms Safari and Chrome both at each of the companies respective benchmarks adding that team is “pleased with those performance gains”.
Look, in home and pro you cannot decide what updates you want to get. they all are mandatory, required, enforced, or whatever word you want to use. kapish?
They won't say anything about it..they gave this to their 5 million testers knowing full well what testers would do with it..they aren't now on the 29th going to say you wasted your time here is something totally new..this is all there is..as oliverjia said it will evolve with updates but dell and lenovo are building pcs with it as we speak, do you think they are going to throw them all away on the 29th because ms came out with a whole new version of the code? Hardly...
In esd database there is this build: 10505.0.150717-1953.th2_CLIENTPRO_RET_x86fre_en-us.esd Shouldn't this be the most up to date version?
Hey hey, relax. I only say the words that Microsoft says to me. Now you decide the things you want to believe.
no, that's redstone..nothing to do with this or at the least the fall release, in any case it has nothing to do with what is available on the 29th.
He (lobo11) must be getting some type of perverse kick out of scaremongering everyone about this isn't RTM and their activation will go kaput come the 29th - he's posted it repetitively over and over.
that's only preview build for th2 channel, i.e., the version intended for next year, the Redstone, a.k.a., Windows 10.1.
I have no idea what they have planed, but I am not going by what they used to do, I'm playing it safe, you very well may be right, hope so, but what if MS surprises us
I looked through the last few pages and don't see anything related to this; but is there any way to activate a clean install of this build? A friend was curious, and I might just need to know too if/when I decide to get around to this build lol
I know mate, I remember. Some will just not accept that this is RTM (went to OEM's) come hell or high water. Yes there may well be rollup updates, possibly new ISO's come the 29th - who knows. But the overwhelming opinion is that this is RTM.
