There's no indication that future builds will be time-bombed at all, tho they certainly might when they start previewing future gdr releases.
No OS on it. New blank SSD installed in laptop Activated when I logged in. Also I noticed if you go into "Setting" "Privacy" And turn off the first 3 you don't get some updates. Checked this on my main system compared to the laptop.
There are some new gpedit policies I did not quite understand that relates Window Updates, and I am sure there are some registry values I did not bother to look for. Some of the gpedit policies allows choices...but to what extent I do not know. Also there is a MS tool solution I read about yesterday, but stupidly involved as you as you have to install the update, then uninstall, then the tool will let you tell windows to never update that update again.
Okay gotta go now cause my cellphone about to run out of battery but I'll get to my laptop in a little while Bye now
Most have bought it with OS on it, may have used OEM to activate it, I don't know right now, MS has everyone concerned confused,
The last time that activation method was "re-designed" by MS was from 7 to 8. Am I right? I mean there was no big changes between 8 and 8.1 activation system?
Quick question for an issue I just ran across. Can anyone boot into safe mode what not through recovery? I could until last nights KB update. What is happening and is when it restarts to give you the selection for safe mod (4 or f4) my keyboards and mouse are shut off. Can anyone confirm It makes no difference if I use the settings recovery option to get there or of the shift key on the log in screen.
If I swap out my rad fans for Noctua can I still do a fresh install? Itz getting so stressful. Snake the hacktivator..... link it plz. Regards
So what's going to happen to people like me that have a test rig that constantly change out motherboards and processors, along with other parts? are we going to have to call MS every time.? If so, I'm not even going to upgrade my test rig.
Lord I hope that does not mean more surprises on 29th But that Winareo tweaker is a neat little program, has boot options too I use it, and like it.
Well it just shuts off the USB to my keyboards and mice when it reboots for the safe mode selection. Dumb me though I needed to change out my GPU driver and forgot DDU will also reboot into safe mode...I am such a creature of habit doing things manually. But still need someone else to test it it, as I want to make sure it just not my hardware..haha.
