is it free edit: it not good to make this kind of things but why tell me why ms make so stupid now this abcdef is like telefone look .I think they make it on purpose
I have downloaded X64 en-us enterprise esd and made ISO from it using the esd decrypter. But I have 10166 professional installed and want to upgrade to 10240 professional. Do I need to download the professional esd separately or can I change some files to make it a professional ISO and upgrade properly. I have tried changing ei.cfg but now the ISO ask for key before proceeding.
Through lots of experiments, I've found out that the ESDs are single version only, using a key for a version other than the ESD version you have will just come up with an error that the key is not compatible with that version of windows.
The official ISOs from the Insider page contains both Core and Pro version, but when doing an upgrade install it just does a same version install, without asking for the serial, but when doing a fresh install it asks for the serial, and installs the version that goes with the serial you entered. The ESD converts are single version. Hence the much smaller file size.
are you sure,i joined the insiders at the beginning, win update installed the first upgrade and all the rest,no clean installs,i originally had an oem 8.1 core, all of the builds i have received have been pro,or do you mean it only does a same version install if you use a disc to upgrade.
Yeah, I meant using a disc. I don't know about the W7/W8.1 windows update route because I never took it.
If the key is ending in -3V66T then it is the same as everyone but you have your channel same (VL_MAK).
8.1 Core upgraded via WU all the way to the latest Windows 10 Pro? Really! I was dreaming to upgrade in-place the Core to higher Editions to get all ESDs at a time to no avail. How did you do that?
