Windows 7/8.1 must have the KB?????? installed to be able to upgrade thru WU. For fbl_impressive, it is Windows10InsiderPreview.exe. Now for TH1....
Apologies if this problem has already been posted I just updated through windows update from 10162 to 10240 on two different machines It goes through the install process then after reboot it asks for Keyboard layout Then only gives me to options 'turn off pc or advanced startup options if i select turn off pc then after restart it is still build 10162 Anyone else have this problem ?
That is akin to saying Windows 7 does not have a Home Premium Edition but really has a Home edition (which incidentally Windows 10 does have). We really know it has that edition. We just are trying to get past the notion that you really took the title literally without thinking that Home Premium is equal to Home. Then lets proceed forward by saying what does the term Pro stand for? Let me think I really think it stands for Professional. Let me look that up.... holy crap it does stand for Professional.
i still had the problem of no 10240 update showing up on windows update, i deleted the 1066 esd and redownloaded the 10240 manually did a clean install and activated it , bang the system seems to be fully functioning , no issue at all occurred with me
It is unbelievable. Tell you what. I tried to upgrade in-place the Core to Pro, then check updates for Pro ESD, NO GO. So, Core is Core. Pro is Pro..... Wait. Your device is originally OEM Core. Are you sure that the System was Core? Did you forget that you had ever changed it to Pro?
I'm not sure how far into the preview process they started doing this, but basically you have to have the edition and language you want to upgrade from set up at least a day before it will show up. I guess too many people were going around changing the language or re-installing to collect them all.
murphy78 bro I need 32 bit version of this release is there any way to convert it or should I download [h=1]Windows 10 TH1 Build 10240[/h]are these both same plz tell me as u r saying it is RTM
I'm experiencing a blank black screen (with no cursor) on cold boot. The PC POSTS ok, and comes up with the Windows flag, then nothing. It's retail activated from an W7 upgrade has all the windows updates available applied. I also updated to the latest W10 AMD driver from their website. Any ideas?
i believe too is RTM ...its like the games ..when one game show up in pcs or console and buy it ..you need wait 1-2 weeks for take the first Update which 1 update is important ...Same happened With Windows 10 ..
Do anyone know how you go by and change your username and the name of your user-folder? When you login with your Microsoft Account during setup it pre-defines your home folder name and your local username to the first five letters in your Microsoft Account which I do not like at all. I want to use my Microsoft Account, while I can still relay on my local user authentication to use "RamGuy". I've figured you can change the actual username by going to Computer Management --> Local Users and Groups --> And simply rename your profile. But my user-folder is still having the wrong name which is irritating when using CMD commands as I'm used to using my old username for the past decade..
