Can't do that and get activated. MUST upgrade from 7 or 8.1 to 10 and THEN you can do a clean install. Try a phone activation, I did one last night for a VM guest I was making and that worked.
I have a version of the 10240 activated, but I do not have windows update option that participating in the test, whether this be so?
Is KMS pointless for the "endless Insider" folks? Would I want regular KMS or VL for random installs I do that aren't Insider? I'm not even sure if I want Pro or Ent anymore.
Iknow what you mean, it got ridiculous in the end with all the versions and builds of 8 I was storing. Right now I have 2 Pro and three core machines and all are upgraded and legal. I will let MS keep them up to date for now.
hi, I want to upgrade from windows 7 home is it possible to have a link for esd or iso 10240 Fr-Fr (core must I think?)
sorry but, I have not seen in any of the FAQ of Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade to mention that sent new activation key he says the information is that the "upgrade" is essential once, and when it detects the retail license in the previous system sends activation data to Microsoft servers so that the user later when you need to reinstall Windows 10 system clean I simply self active online without placing key again
I just did 2 clean installs of 10240.16384 on machines that have never had Windows 10 before. both were windows 8.1pro_vl. I loaded the Win10 pro gvlk and activated via KMS. no problems at all. thanks to everyone who has contributed!! the ESDs were extremely helpful.
I dont get it, I have two laptops with 8.1 preinstalled, go to upgrade to home 64 bit windows 10 and installation fails on both laptops. Cant upgrade. I am mounting the iso and running setup.exe. Any idea why?
