    I think people are misunderstanding the term "RTM", which traditionally was when MS released the bits to OEMs/Partners which it looks like they did. So technically Windows 10 has hit RTM, we are just waiting for General Availability. RTM literally means Release to Manufacturing, this is so it can start to be preloaded on devices.

    Windows 10 however is never technically done, Microsoft is aiming to have Windows as a service which is why it looks like MS is avoiding the term.

    it already has it has gone from 16384 to 16393 and counting..

    So if someone buys Windows 10 after 29 July, he will get 10+ upgrade in windows update, it makes no sense?

    It makes perfect sense. That's what happened to Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

    That is exactly how it went for Win 8 and Vista release and even prior to that. Nothing new on that...

    Just free stuff at microsoft stores on July 29, extra free stuff and discounts for Insiders...big woo hoo. I do not even know where a store is from where I live haha...hundreds of miles I am sure.
