I'm not an Insider and I upgraded by creating an ISO and running setup.exe - same scenario I expect as I upgraded not clean install.
No not yet friend, haven't had the nuts to try yet. I'd want to image my drive first just in case de-activaing and restoring went tits up. Very late here and my bed is calling, if anyone does try this plz post the results.
I am completing iso in 25 minutes, but i need to know if i need a key when i do clean install. if so, where do i get it?
Download goes to %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ then file gets decrypted and converted to $Windows~BT folder.
Don't we need only to confirm this is the build definitely given to OEM's for their base images? If it is then it can be patched from WU as new PC's can be straight after OOBE and will continue to receive updates along with whatever MSDN release appears on the 29th. Isn't this the new meaning of RTM anyway?
