Hey everyone I can't seem to connect to any of my network shares with this build Is anyone having this problem Please help... Thanks
Hi guys, i was wondering if I have Windows 8.1 Core Single Language, which free upgrade would i get? Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Home Single Language?
How to repair Windows image: In ADMIN Cmd Prompt type sfc /scannow may take up to 3 times press enter on keyboard
I get all those updates on my pcs that have never been connected to insiders MSA so I think everything is the same right now. It may change after the 29th but not before.
Does anyone know if Windows 10 Pro will require an Internet connection at any time? My good friend Greg out in Angel Fire, New Mexico USA, does not have Internet service, not even dial up exists, only expensive Satellite is available to him which he can not afford. He has a smart phone but is too far for a reliable internet connection. I built his machine this year and its still in my possession until mid August to September or so, its strictly for gaming and I installed genuine Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on it. Its an older x58 system with 12GB DDR3, I7-930, GTX 960 (he only has a 1080 monitor), and I used a 256GB Samsung 850 EVO as his OS drive. It runs great and will easily run Windows 10. However, he does NOT want Windows 10, he doesn't even want 7 for that matter, and wanted me to keep XP on it but I told him HELL NO. So, I told him Windows 7 at least or I wouldn't build it for him. His ONLY reason for building this system is for gaming, with much older games from 2003 thru 2006 or so. So when it comes time for me to go install Windows 10, say next year before the 1 year offer is up, will I need internet in order to complete the upgrade process? Or can I just bring a ISO with me and install it offline? And it remain offline indefinitely? I don't want to have to drive hundreds of miles to his house, pick up his machine, then drive hundreds of miles back to my house just for Internet, and then drive hundreds more back to him and hundreds more back home. In fact, if it works flawlessly, I might just send him a DVD of Windows 10 but I/He will need to know exactly what Windows 10 will ask for during the upgrade process because if at any time it asks for Internet, it will not happen, and he will not know what to do. So, any ideas on how to upgrade 7 to 10 without internet access ever needed?
Yes, it requires internet to activate. It won't ask for anything, no keys are involved. As long as it is legitimate it will be fine.
What are the main differences between Pro and Enterprise, besides the ability to defer updates? I have seen no comprehensive posts outlining the differences between the different Windows 10 versions.
will I be able to update (via Windows Update, not upgrade) Windows 10 Build 10240 x64 to the GA build, once it releases on 29th of July?
BTW Enterprise LTSB will be delivered separately, won't it? Because current Enterprise doesn't accept the LTSB gvlk.
I think so. Someone mentioned here somewhere that there will be an EnterpriseS and EnterpriseSN as well. Probably find that in VLSC, maybe MSDN.
I did the upgrade from 8.1 to Windows 10 Pro build 10240. It installed and activated without a hitch. Now, come July 29th, will we receive the final product in the form of updates, or will we receive a new download?
