    advise me please ,

    Laptop only has 32 gig ssd and windows 8.1 is installed there i cant upgrade to 10 cause of space issue i have to do a clean install of the os , i would like to pull the activation from my 8.1 key.

    So i was thinking to install 8.1 on the 750 gig hdd and then upgrade to win 10 will have the activation then how would i go about putting that activation on the SSD OS ?

    I believe your 8.1 will be removed and replaced with Win 10 Upgrade:D

    Also interesting while messing around looking for a offline method found the phone activation did not like my installation ID and wanted to transfer me to an operator. I then went online and it activated no problem despite swapping data.dat and changing my PK.

    So if I was to jump to conclusions it would appear a hardware change will require you to explain it to and operator for the GWX free upgrade path.

    Possibly the telephone activation system didn't get my correct installation ID.

    Yeah, got the OEM key from bios now just have to find what version of Windows 8 came with this laptop and download the iso, upgrade, then clean install Pro....I guess. Probably easier to stick with Enterprise 10 via KMS

    hi. my laptop has win8.1 oem. I upgraded to win10 using the 10240 ISO. after the upgrade, i checked activation status of win10 and it says that it is activated. I restarted my laptop and booted from the win10 DVD to launch a fresh install. Installing a fresh copy is no problem. when i boot to this fresh install, i can connect to internet, install all drivers, doing windows updates, etc, but the activation status keeps 'not activated' . Is there something i miss here? Is there a delay I have to keep in mind?

    But then can i do a clean install of 10 on the ssd and sign in to the MS account and will be activated ? rather have the OS on the ssd than the 750 gig hdd.

    I just want a f*king Home Win 10 iso that will let me do a clean install. It should read the f*cking key from my bios since f*cking M$ doesn't provide keys anymore.

    I don't want to deal with esd, msa, gwx bullsh*t!!!

    FU Nadella! :mad::mad:

    This sites user base is not very highly smart like I believed at first.
