I'm an insider too and also changed computer name several times and still activated, thats got to be something else.
I upgraded from a older build not from 8.1 Don't remember what the old name is that Windows gave my computer.
No problem they released this tool on 7/7/2015 with absolutely no announcement whatsoever, like they really did not want us to know about it and use it. Also if you get an update that plays bad...just uninstall it and then use the hide update troubleshooter tool to hide it forever.

10.0.10240.16384 is official RTM. Tom Warren confirmed that. Mary Jo Foley confirmed that. Paul Thurrot confirmed that. WZOR finally confirmed that. Chinese OEMs are leaking official ISOs, and confirmed that too. Even MS support, who I contacted personally yesterday, told me that is RTM and that will become "Final" by simply installing daily OS "rollup" + Store updates till 29th of July on top of it (without needing to reinstall or upgrade again to a new build). Just Deal with It.
Is true that Windows 10 RTM build 10400 (Gold build) will be free on 24th? I don't think that build 10240 is the official RTM
CURIOUS! Any clues why the BuildLabEx string still shows 10240.16393.amd64fre.th1_st1.150717-1719 and only the UBR changed from 16393 to 16934 after the KB3074674 hotfix update installed with device up to date on both physical and VM?
