Please do not integrate this MSU and pass it off as a GA image. The GA image will likely be different. Last time in 8.1 we also got the GA patch early, but they added another few fixes and a big patch to the update servers. So please be patient. We'll get isos from MSDN soon after the 29th GA hits.
Why would you want to do that, it will change tomorrow? And the next day, and the next day, and.......
I understand that on the evening of July 28th MS will start allowing some people to download GA ISOs. So, we may have around half a day of waiting less
As I have already stated this and the previous KB size changes depending on what you already have on your PC...right now any integration is not known as a full cumulative KB update or not.
In the past yes...but these past few months no...he has been wrong so many times this go round even to the point of changing responses...however I do admit he has a source...and does on occasion these days provide correct info.
And I heard isos will be uploaded on the 27th. I'm not sure to where, I am hoping they will be available at that time with the mediacreation tool at least for retail and oem. Possibly MSDN will get them then too. We will see.
The pack for integration should be still the same for all. I'm not talking about the express stuff offered via WU .
Y'all know me...and that I throw caution to wind and will try stuff...like that Chinese version I made into 99.8% English...but on the KB integration I am urging caution with with the huge differences in reported KB sizes. /edit There is a huge difference i my previous KB update coming in at just around 200 megs and another person it was 1.3 gigs. Since the KB update should be the same for all.
So after re-reading the description on that wzor post it is ONLY the fixes incorporated in the last update package but the package itself contains ALL of the fixes since last week. It would be nice to see what all those other fixes fixed, each had at least 10 additional fixes which were never explained.
That's not how cab or msu files work. Express downloads from Windows Update are different. They download only what is missing and use express to register the thing.
Yeah I know...just want to make sure people are using the right files...if you know what I mean...and not creating true frankenbuild ISOs. Always good practice to double check yourself.
