I've a couple of issues. 1:Some text in some windows is a bit blurred. Steam for example but also device manager and some popup windows. 2:I leave my PC on 24/7. This morning I had a low memory warning and the PC was behaving like it had run out of RAM. Vuze and Chrome were the only programs running and I have 16GB of RAM. I checked task manager but it said I was only using 2.91 GB of RAM. Eventually, my system crawled to a halt and I had to hard reset.
I have given feedback about those two issues a while a go to Microsoft. Shame to see that those issues (and bunch of others) are still present in RTM version. I know that Microsoft have changed release politics, but please, alot are major issues.
The Control Panel don't open smooth - it open window for millisecond and the open control Panel. After restart it works fine. I don't know how it happen.
I had the same problem with the low memory error with only Chrome open, it seemed to be caused by Adblock, I changed to uBlock and the problem has gone completely.
sorry M8 i did a refresh of the OS, seems to be working better now as previously none of the Live tiles were working. Also in Desktop mode pressing the Windows button did not bring up the Desktop Start menu. Restoring it seems to have corrected all the issues.
Yesterday, I installed a clean Windows 8.1 and activated it using a legit key which was never used before. I still haven't seen the Windows 10 Upgrade Offer in my taskbar even after installing the 2 necessary updates namely, KB3035583 and KB2976978 and running the tool provided by Bradley Hughes and applying all 3 options. As per the statement given by @murphy78 on the Windows 10 Build 10240 Discussion Thread, he clearly states under the activation head: Upgrade from a Win7 (activated by daz loader in BIOS or CSM mode) or a legit 7/8/8.1 activated system (no KMS) After upgrade, make sure your system is activated After your system was activated you can clean install and just skip the key entry and it will be activated As far as I know the key gets associated with the motherboard and WIndows 10 may get activated automatically after doing a fresh install. So the question is if I download this leaked RTM will it get automatically activated? Or shall I wait till the GP release since my internet bandwisth is limited? Thanks
Ok, so I upgraded to Windows 10. Activation went perfect, noi problems at all. Now Windows itself is not working 100%. Everything seems to be going at a snails pace. I tried to do sfc scannow but not even that seems to be working correctly. I have no idea what is up but it worked much better in vmware then it does on the main PC OS. Also bitdefender is not working correctly (but in vmware it did)
Perform a fresh reset to resolve all these issues. Do this: Settings App---->Update & Security---> Recovery----> Reset this PC-----> Get started.
Did you choose the "Remove all App,s Settings etc" option during reset? If No, then do the same. If yes, then you must have driver-related issues.
Hi Guys, I am wondering if you can help me, I am upgrading some PC's in my work from legit windows 7 home/premium to this copy of windows 10 just via the upgrade not fresh install. Some are asking for a product key upon initializing the upgrade wizard and i cant skip this, others are going through without a product key. Why is this and what can I do to get around this? Kind Regards Jamie
onnel things. Also no driver issues according to device manager Yes i did, all apps and setting and keep pers
