    Im not talking about downloading the update right now, Im talking about the free upgrade on Jul 29, will my windows 10 activated (my windows 8.1 activated by phone :D)

    pro, did a fresh install then ran into the no activation problem, tried the slmgr.vbs -ipk (code here) trick, old kms + a few keys but no luck then read further down on this thread that someone activated via kms which then got me looking for newer version then it worked for me :)

    Hmm since I dont want to wait until the 29th, I think Im gonna do this...

    Download 10074 from MSDN that has a legit product key & install that
    Upgrade to 10240
    Do a reset to clean everything up.

    Sounds good, right?

    If you activated over phone before, yes it should stay activated on 29th:D

    Nope MSDN insider keys can't activate anymore.

    Currently i'm trying the followubg myself

    - Grab ESD and create 10240 ISO (currently at this step DL'ing esd from WU on not activated 10074)
    - Clean Install and activate win 8.1 with MSDN key
    - Upgrade with created 10240 ISO

    yeah the new UELA in Windows installation is when RTM show up Windows_10_2015_07_16_02_42_38.png

    That sounds even better. Mind PM'ing me the link to the MS DL for the ESD for en_US pro x64? I think I can take care of the rest.

    You need to upgrade and get it activated first, then do the clean install...

    if works without MSA My key i make clean installation (anyway) but saying :tea::tea::tea:
