Yes you can leave insider program on their home page at bottom, leave the program, but I bet we get another build before 29th so you might want to wait.
Ok!Thank You! I'm downloading the ISO now. I'll upgrade. I have most of my stuff stored in cloud anyway.
I am betting this is the RTM as mine is activated with no watermark. dlv shows retail channel. no time-bomb.
Same here from 8.1 Pro with 8.0 Retail Key from Technet, but i didn't login to an MS Account after Upgrade. Windows 10 is Activated
starting to think it depends how you upgrade / what from. Upgrading from 8.1 to 10 (local account or none Insider account) giving a real key, if making an insider account or going from a prior insider build an insider key. My advice would be upgrade and login using local / none insider account and after that link your insider account and remove old one.
Talk about excitement, it's happened. Just upgraded two Dell E6500 Laptops from 10162 with the new RTM 10240 upgrade, and the trial version information in the lower right hand corner of the laptop is gone. The RTM with Windows Pro and Office 2013, and a full blown CS6 suite upgraded without losing any files or folders. So I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who got the new RTM ahead of time. Both Laptops running Flawless.
no i was upgrade from build 10166 to 10240 :/ and also i try without account its not activated... i think the activation based in your e-mail WTF..
Following upgrade from 8.1 Pro to 10240 Pro worked here and activated - Clean activated 8.1 Pro (MSDN key, local account not MS connected) - Upgrade with 10240 Pro ISO (keep nothing, yes to updates, no key was asked during upgrade) - During the last steps of upgrade i connected with MS/insider account (this was account running a NOT activated 10074 before) - Fully activated as soon as it booted up, no extra steps needed... - Get insider builds WAS not activated by default when i checked WU settings
