If your windows 8.1 version is 32 bit, you should download WINDOWS 10 PRO X86.
If your windows 9.1 version is 64 bit, you should download WINDOWS 10 PRO X64

I just upgraded my Genuine Windows 7 Pro x64 to Windows 10 RTM x64. Said it was activated in system info.

Next day, I rebooted and did a clean install of windows 10, same iso file.

Now it says Windows is not activated. and, eror code 0xC004C003. Activation server has determined the specified product key has been blocked.

Product key says, *****-3V66T. I take it that is the placeholder key? Any idea what happened, and how to fix it?

    Thanks in advance!

did you enter the key during clean install or let it do it by itself and skip adding a key. Skip is the answer if you didn't.

The software Word Point dictionary (I bought it) that is very old worked for windows 95/98, and work in Windows 8.1.
Now in Windows 10, I can install it only in Safe mode, and the user interface - I choose Hebrew - show reversed and very small letters.

Set the default encoding for non-unicode apps to Hebrew.

I tried compatibility mode. But why am I need to buy newer version ? It works in Windows 8.1. So why not in Windows 10 ?
I think this is not the only one old software that not compatible with Windows 10.
I hope MS will fix the compatible for old software.
The compatibility mode don't show below Windows XP compatible (In Windows 8.1 it showed).
