did you enter the key during clean install or let it do it by itself and skip adding a key. Skip is the answer if you didn't.
The software Word Point dictionary (I bought it) that is very old worked for windows 95/98, and work in Windows 8.1. Now in Windows 10, I can install it only in Safe mode, and the user interface - I choose Hebrew - show reversed and very small letters.
I tried compatibility mode. But why am I need to buy newer version ? It works in Windows 8.1. So why not in Windows 10 ? I think this is not the only one old software that not compatible with Windows 10. I hope MS will fix the compatible for old software. The compatibility mode don't show below Windows XP compatible (In Windows 8.1 it showed).
Yes it was. One thing I noticed after installing windows 10 was the WiFi drivers were not installed yet. And I read that Microsoft uses the network Mac addresses in their algorithm for activation. Could that be an issue not having the drivers installed? The wired connection was active though. And had internet connection.
every software meets a natural end when a majority of single attempts of commands are no longer supported. Perhaps your old 95/98 software has reached that point. Contact the author of that software if he can solve that problem. It also can be related to certain language version like Hebrew - a very small group of ppl using this on our planet - can cause a malfunction with W10
It had online access both times actually, during the upgrade and during the clean install. During the upgrade the wired connection was active, and the WiFi drivers were installed. After clean install the wired connection was still working and active, but the WiFi drivers weren't installed. Although I never used the WiFi connection before, always just the wired. I'll reinstall WiFi and test it then. I'll get back and let you know if that works. Thanks for the help.
Trend Micro Antivirus+ install fails, compatibility mode is not an option, setup doesn't launch. Even driver signature enforcement off doesn't help. Anyone experienced?
Just give em some time, Windows 10 isn't even launched until now. Trend Micro or Microsoft itself will patching some compatiblity issues for sure. Until then Avira Antivirus for example will work 100% under Windows 10 (Pro). I'm using the free version of Avira for years, never had any problems with viruses.
Supporting the AV industry is like smoking/consuming something. First they feed you with either extra written "virus" BS / give out free crack or something and after you got "infected" they take your money ... did I ring a bell,no?
Windows Defender will save you until Trend Micro gets it right, but no bells and whistle's in Win Defender
