I used it to download ISO, clicked on it to upgrade first, you must, as this gets you key in BIOS, then I burned ISO to disk, put in no key when it asks-1 time skip it, 2 time do it later in clean install:D

The updates tab in LTSB N version looks no different than PRO!
Anyone knows where's the settings to manually select updates in LTSB version?

You need to download image to upgrade/then clean install on your 8.1, if it's Pro=Win 10 Pro, 8.1 Core=Win 10 Home, put no key in if it asks on clean install as it got it on upgrade, no it will not upgrade other image, more info click FAQ's in my sig:D

So confused! I have a few questions..on my laptop I downloaded every single update and it says I have 10.0.10240.16384 is that the latest one..I installed this on my laptop last week so not even sure if this is the final windows 10 or not..when I go to advanced options in updates..it says on the bottom "Get Insider Builds" does it say that on the final version as well just want to be sure
Also..for my PC, I want to do a clean install, I have Windows 8.1 home, does that mean I would have to install Windows 10 Home or if I do a clean install I can get whatever version I want?

Your fine, just keep it updated at WU, do not press get insider builds:D

for the 8.1 PC you need to download esd for Win 10 Home, convert it to ISO, upgrade/then clean install, enter no keys when it asks as they were gotten in upgrade

So is there anything different between this 10240 build and the new Official ISO from Microsoft?

Great wanted to be sure that I had the final version on my laptop was getting worried since last night some people were saying that their versions were a tiny bit higher
up than me..so I have the final version on my laptop? Now as far as my desktop is concerned, I want to do a clean install, I downloaded that media creation tool last night, I want to create an ISO image of it so I can do a clean install, I have Windows 8.1 home on my PC, does that mean I can only install Windows 10 Home or can I install the pro version? Since Im doing a clean install do I have to first upgrade, then do a clean install or can I go directly to the clean install..Thanks I appreciate your help!

hi all, updated from 8.1 done a fresh install and all went well. However adobe flash player is not up for w10. Nvidia latest driver running smoothly, 353.62. Have noticed something strange when I start the pc in the background process the apps, mail, sport, news, money, weather one note are not running, But somehow later on they all running in the background process without opening them. Have disabled notification and they still run.

I was playing around with the win 10 media creation tool iso's but i'm not able to mount them (yes wim file selected). I get this error message:

    dism.exe /Mount-WIM /WimFile:"D:\Windows10\Project\Mediatool.ISO\Win.10.0.10240.Home.x86.nl-NL\sources\install.wim" /index:1 /MountDir:"E:\Mount"

    Error: 11

So I just use the media creation tool, it will allow me to create an ISO file for windows 10..I upgrade, then after wards I can do a clean install..as far as my laptop is concerned is it normal for it to mention "Get Insider Builds" not sure what that meant thought maybe I just have a beta version of windows 10 or something, I know, too overly obsessed about this but I want to put everything back into my laptop so wanted to be sure I do indeed have the final version since others have different ones
