Definitely - as we don't know what M$ long term plans are. 1. Could be don't care 2. Could be get all pirated versions updated, wait a month then deactivate them 3. Could be to see if its profitable to upgrade as many as possible and see if worthwhile One just has to wait and see
They could very well be doing that with Daz-loadered upgrades as well, couldn't they? Assuming they know about Daz loader, which they almost certainly do, they can presumably detect it during the upgrade.
Help!! I clicked to open dreamweaver cs6 after upgrade Win 10 Pro 64bits and it won't start up. All of the others Adobe programs run perfectly
Not exactly since it still passes online checks for Windows 7 even if you install the WAT update. Plus everyone's hardware is different and you're upgrading from an activation channel that's officially supported. If, however, a problem did occur then it would only be worked around again.
If M$ was serious about only upgrading legit copies of Windows they would only do it for Windows 8, knowing full well the difficulties and numbers of "loader Window 7". And also they didn't change KMS activation for Windows 10, again knowing that there are tool available to activate Windows 8. It has me thinking that they really want as many as possible upgraded as their business model has changed. The one year to do it is just to scare people to upgrade quickly, so M$ can start making money sooner. It would surprise me if after a year M$ offers Windows 10 free, or at least at cost.
Hi guys Any suggestions... I did try upgrade did not suceed. I have posted in a new thread as it might not be ok to post it in here : 63152-problems-upgrading-windows-10
It's Windows as a service as Microsoft keep saying. They want to make money by getting you to use their services, buy apps and games through their store etc. It'll even cost you to play an adfree version of solitare now. They want Windows 10 on 1 billion devices, so what better way than to give it out to as many people as possible. That's when they'll make the most amount of money too, especially if developers start to get serious about apps fot the Windows store.
Yeh, saw that today looking at what games Windows 10 offered, the money grabbing has started. One way to make even more is I bet all the apps you buy will either have to be bought again if you get a new computer, or you keep the apps on the cloud server BUT have to buy a new Windows 10 when you buy a new motherboard. either way they get you at the end.
hi ..i have windows 8.1 enterprise installed so looking for the final release of windows 10 enterprise. where can i get it? would appreciate ur help
I installed MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.10.ENTERPRISE.RTM.10240.X64.VOL.ENGLISH.DVD over windows 8.1 enterpise x64. Kept my settings applications etc. It guess it is the same as MSDN (and full, not like the eval version of msdn). Worked flawlessly and stays activated. Then removed windows 8.1 old folder with disk cleanup. Only issue is that I cannot change screen brightness for some reason. Any has any answer about that?
