control userpasswords2 works fine for me on 4 of 5 of my machines and no matter how many times i set it on the 5th it still stops and makes me enter the pw...go figure.
yes, exactly so if anybody else has the issue and it seems mainly to happen win 7 upgrades just tell them to leave it on and take a nap..it will probably be activated when they come back.

Is there a possibility that an upgrade path means only upgrade for a previous WIn7 o 8.1 version ? And thus you cant install from scratch on the PC you made the upgrade. Also from what i understood once it activates Win 10 it ties it to your HWID, but maybe it also specifies somewhere in MS database that its only suitable for upgrade and not clean install, but i kinda dont believe it.
