you probably need to turn printer on, go to device manager, find printer, right click, uninstall, then reboot, yea if everything is activated, stay with it, do not click on get insider button

I figure since Im doing a clean install anyway doing all that isnt even worth doing..so I guess the one I got for the laptop was final after all..phew, all that worrying for NOTHING both are identical except for the defer updates thing that is available on the laptop not sure why LOL

 

can't wait to hear how many they completed in the first day or two days or whatever..i'm sure they will announce it at some point.

Cortana Not Avalible

I have been running 10240 and have installed all updates but cortana still says it's not available for my language and location.

I have checked and they are set to UK correctly.

How do I get cortana.

 

Windows 10 Pro allows for the updates to be deferred while Windows 10 Home has no control over updates.

 

Nope, read again, Home doesn't have, only Pro and Ent .

 

not me...i want everything they have as fast as i can get it...i might turn it on in a month or two though..i still think there are some cheesy drivers out there..this should be much faster than 8.1 and for me it isn't on all machines, some seem faster and some slower.

Are you on Win 10 Pro, it's not on home, it's under advanced options

three are pro and two are home. the two on home are a dell venue 8 pro and an old samsung laptop which i love and won't give away but i really don't use either.

 

Well you should have defer upgrades on 3 of yours, settings, updates & security, advanced options

 

yeah but i want the updates as soon as i can get them..i think for the first month there will be a lot of them but who knows, i'm surprised there haven't been any for three days now.

 

LOL Weird, on the core version(Windows 10 home) I dont have it, no defer updates thing here..weird..is that bad cause I mean this is the final release yet the laptop has it but not on my desktop

Awesome all I needed to know at least now I know Im not supposed to have it in home..too bad I cant have the PRO Version on my Desktop but since I had windows 8.1 home edition I Guess I cant

 

oh...haha...i have seen it there since the beginning and just "assumed" it was defer updates..I guess i better check it in that case
