At first when I upgraded to Win 10 it worked fine and booted up, but after I restarted it wouldn't boot anymore. So I did a reset and it got stuck at 2% over the night so I had to completely re-install :/
You should additionally check the Advanced Tokens Backup thread by Josh. Since Win 8.1 only phone activation can be backed up, not any online one, does that ring a bell? PointMatch doggie.
no i think your reffering to the windows.old folder that goes after 30 days. i am referring to under update advance. click update history says uninstall preview build. even the rtm download has it. as well as the insider section. i can see on my machines as i have been on them since it was released. but a legit upgrade over the net from ms. legal 100% has them too. like ms forgot to remove it. oh and the key is still the generic 3V66T one . same as my early upgrade key. lol
service pack!! wait, service RELEASE! oh yes, so different from PACK lol old skool MS used to send out SR's, then went to SP's, now SR's again w00taful
You want to use the loader to get a license for Windows 10? Or you want to check you are eligible to install Windows 10?
Just be happy they are letting you update with the loader and get activated. They could not detect the loader but the could easily if they chose check your computer after the update and the loader is no longer used and find that the bios doesn't have slic. Apparently they don't care.
They most certainly know. I'm sure it was pitched as: "Do you want to do a post-install re-check?" >I don't know. It's probably not worth the money. They'll just figure out another way to bypass it. "True. Okay, flood gates open, then."
The only reason there is no Win 8/8.1 Loader is simply the fact, that OA 3.0 Keys are UNIQUE, so they cannot be shared without being blacklisted quickly. Win 10 would only need same Emulation as done on Win 7 . Daz said in chatbox several times .
ya but how can they do that. i have a machine that was slice 2.0 legit keys for 7 and 8.1 now 10. they did that. they be refunding alot of $.
Has anyone noticed a strange partition of about 450MB created on your drive after a Windows10 update? Mine is between the C and D partitions and it certainly was not there before the update. I'm tempted to delete it and see if I can expand one of the two partitions to utilize the space. Nevermind. I saw it from outside of windows and it confused me. It's the recovery partition. DOH!!
