Slave77 or EFA11 or one of the big dogs, how can man get into BIOS to make CD ROM Boot first to do clean install
I think I am going to have to call Dell tomorrow because I totally did NOT expect this to happen..the disc installed fine when I did the upgrade even when the PC rebooted it still loaded from disc, but when I want to do a clean install it wont load it I think its loading from the hard drive first but I cant get into this damn BIOS
WIN 10 RTM 10240 just installed in Dell Latitude E6420 i5 and cooked with KMS Pico.................................
Try to "play" with the BIOS - make usb as first boot or another device and then choose DVD-ROM. I had this problem in laptop.
Im a dog lover so this works out perfectly..I Never even tested the BIOS I hope it even works..good thing Im under Dell warranty for another 4 yrs but with my luck I will call tomorrow and get on the phone with some fool who knows less than I do LOL
Sorry might have missed it, but did you clear CMOS, turn off PSU remove power from board by hitting the power button until led flashes and sometimes the battery needs to be removed for a few hours.
I worked on a dell laptop w/uefi recently. There was a very small round button by the power button. With the laptop off, if you pressed the little button it would boot to uefi bios. I could never get to the bios the other way. You might try that. The other way was a combo of keys not just F2 or F12. I never found out why they made it so hard to get to the bios or boot choice.
HAHAHAHAHA if I were Kobe Bryant I wouldnt need BIOS I would just buy a new fancy computer with Windows 10 already in it..Ok so you think if I try THAT it will automatically boot for me no going into BIOS Needed?
Yeah I have the Dell 8700 Desktop so I think this makes it harder..and yes I have no idea why they make it so hard
