I've tried an upgrade install to my W8 Home laptop using build 10240 iso but, this time, without letting it download any update or drivers in the first step.
After that, I've found two curious differences to an already updated install (with ZDPs etc preloaded), before enabling an internet connection and let it update.

    1) System restore won't be enabled for the system drive.
    2) Even if this is a Home version, Defer Upgrades option was available.

Only after patching via WU the first turned to enabled on C:, and Defer Upgrades vanished.

Also setting the Wi-fi connection to metered didn't let WU pass 0% on the download progress, even if rebooting and forcing the "Retry" button. I thought manually forced checks would still download their stuff under a metered connection.

Now because it says it has A11, its OK to reboot, or are you going to spend the rest of your life not rebooting, all is OK, do it:D

You were right and AGAIN I was wrong..says A11 in system information now..Gosh I feel so damn silly..Ok now as far as the other updates are concerned..I know with bluetooth, now I dont have bluetooth but it comes with it, I had an issue in the past with bluetooth updates, I once installed one and the computer would take FOREVER to shut down, after talking to 20 Dell reps they finally figured out that it was the bluetooth update that was causing the problem so they rolled it back and it was fine again..since I dont use that stuff I dont think updating that is necessary right? What updates from Dell do you think I should get

so i was having issues with 10 network setup, and browser rendering some pages (even mdl started to get some rendering issues for me on firefox and sometimes on Edge), so i went back to 8.1 until i finish some work, it really still feels like an insider build...so something interesting happened (at least it's the 1st time i see it) i clean installed 8.1 ,
1- the 1st thing i noticed was that apparently the last time i installed 10 when i formatted the drive it created a recovery drive (not the system one) , a recovery drive marked as "OEM recovery"...(well, sometimes in a hurry i click yes to messages :D )

2- the second thing, knowing that i installed 8.1 without entering any key, just after the windows finished installing and before logging to windows it showed a message that "windows 10 is released and i can get it for FREE on this machine" (almost the exact works) and a button to upgrade (which will download and asks to upgrade once finished.

i understand that the HWID is now stored on MS servers , i just found it interesting that they recognized the machine and offered a free windows 10, yet the 8,1 wasn't activated (no keys were entered or kms was used just pure win install)

edit/ while i'm at it, is it possible to dual boot 10 with 8.1 ?

Guys, when I start up the computer and want to login to computer, there is absolutely no animation at all, it just jumps right into desktop, but I remember there was some animation login in windows 8/8.1, but when I lock the PC, there is some fading animation like Windows 8/8.1

Had a similar problem, did not see the windows logo at all, just a black screen and then desktop. Try run as ADMIN Cmd Prompt type sfc /scannow and see if you get any errors :)

EDIT: done a sfc scan on my laptop where W10 works nearly without any problem and also thera are damaged files:

well, 1st of all, thanks...that was a long read ;)
but as i said my friend, i knew that info (most of it at least), what puzzled me was is there any relation between the OEM drive and this message...
well i don't like what i don't understand, so i (in a matter of 2 hours) went back again to 10) and found out that the oem drive was apparently created while i was playing with the backup option on windows.(at least that's the only explanation i could find) , i'm not sure of that conclusion because i wasn't aware that windows could do that (and i really don't remember getting a message about it).

anyways, I think this is important to some people, This Computer is the only one i have an antivirus installed on, the 2 i just leave defender on, so this was the 1st thing i should've thought of when i had the issues with windows 10, specially with network...
turned out that Avira Premium (the one i had installed) not only that it wasn't compatible with 10, but also had an option that makes it able to manage windows firewall... so that was the thing interfering and causing my internet issues.
i actually advice against AV's in general since windows already have defender, but especially with 10, if you really need an AV , hold on for a month or 2 , until they get there programs sorted out with 10, (and don't get a firewall windows firewall is more than enough for most people)

if you're sure there's no other OS's installed, goto System > Advanced Settings > at the startup and recovery section choose settings... you should be able to delete it from there (at least that how it used to be on 8)
