Defender keeps updating, all the time apparently or at least every time I look in there, Windows Defender has updated. Other than that, no, nothing major that I remember in the last 2 days.

ok I have 2 questions and then I think I'm good to go 1 every one is saying to do a clean install this away Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Reset this PC > Get Started. but in the past I have always used wipe drive to wipe out my hard drive and installed fresh and was thinking about going here and downloading the ios microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and doing the clean install but is it better to do a clean install this away Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Reset this PC > Get Started. or to use my wipe drive 2 when I do a clean install will I loose my windows dvd player as I have never used any dvd play back program other then what ms had in its windows so I'm trying to keep it if all possible thanks for any and all info
1. Either way is good, if you already have the ISO burned then go ahead. 2. What do you mean DVD player? As an app? There is a DVD play app on Windows 10. You could also download VLC and use it to play DVD's. I'm not sure I understand this question
the why I understand it if I'm reading it right is you only get that dvd app if you are upgrading if you do a clean install then you have to pay for it but I am not sure about that
hello; i have downloaded Murphy78 torrent Microsoft Windows 10 GA AIO DualBoot and am running LTSB. working great. thx Murphy78!! can anyone tell me what this is for? "KMS-Genuine-Ticket-Block" thx
Preliminary script to set the reg key that Group Policy sets when you disable the kms genuine ticket. We're not sure if it works as intended yet.
Still after latest update (ZDP) there are some bugs left: On shutdown you get Task Scheduler and something like host services that needs to be closed (that on clean install with no additional software installed like skype or anything else) On first boot the PC even on SSD is slow as hell you need to wait like 3-4 minutes till it's ok and then the updates are slow again on Windows 8.1 was better at speed. Store doesn't update the apps if you don't open it first time. Multipile times asks you about Costumize settings or express settings and product key on OOBE (2 times with no reason and restarts to install something) and that thing with one moment is anyoing. to setup the PC on Windows 8.1 was a lot better than this. If I say that I want Cortana on OOBE cortana is still disabled when log into the desktop. Black desktop sometimes after I press restart button. Edge still has compatibility issues with websites but the performance is good (example: this forum, you can't type if you don't press the enter button) Cortana settings doesn't sync between reinstalls even with Microsoft account still asks about my name and other things so do the mail and calendar app that doesn't remember the added account like in Windows 8.1 and Edge doesn't sync the bookmarks, and windows doesn't sync the settings like wallpaper or hidden file settings like on WIndows 8.1. With snipping tool still you can't screenshot like say the start menu while it's open or that sort of things. on desktop without wifi card you have a big wasted space when you click on the network icon...that's crazy !!!!!! on the sound icon I prefer the old one because I can easly open the volume mixer. If these problems aren't solved in let's say next month I am out of Windows 10 party still I like more the LTSB edition that clean I wil report all this bugs to Microsoft via Windows feedback. and you can't say that some of the problems are hardware reletead in some way because my hardware is fairly new except the GPU that's from 2012 but it has official Windows 10 drivers like other parts.
Guys, my notebook came with Windows 8.1 Core but since I dislike Windows 8.1, I reformated my notebook and installed Windows 7 Pro and activated with MS Toolkit. After I upgrade to Windows 10 Pro(I believe I should be getting Windows 10 Pro since Win 7 Pro->Win 10 Pro?) and get it activated online, etc. When I do a format and clean install Windows 10 Pro again, will I be able to activate it since my notebook's BIOS is for Windows 8.1 Core which should translate to Windows 10 Home and not Windows 10 Pro.
Don't clean install from the media. Go to settings ---> update & security ----> recovery -> reset this pc
dont add a key during install, and choose pro. MS should activate it without issue. It should ignore your MSDM table where your core key is. -ed- and yes use Reset this pc. a Better option IMO than the whole boot and reinstall from last year. Welcome to Windows 10 reset (it works!)
I've downloaded and installed the windows 10 pro from this post. Intel hd graphics control panel is showing this build as insider preview, must be a mistake from Intel right ?
