I don`t know of any selective update method inside Windows 10, but you can stop automatic updates via the registry and use the program "Portable Update" where you can choose which updates you really want to install. I`m using it for a while without any problems. www[dot]portableupdate[dot]com

Always when ask for key through installation and configuration of Win 10 go SKIP and it will work, and u must have active Internet Connection.
I had "upgraded" my wife's Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 night before last. Everything seemed to be working well. Last night I restarted it and the truth of the mess showed its ugly head. So I decided to restore it to the system image I had made of 7 Pro. What a nightmare that turned out to be. Anyway, without suffering you through the details, I finally got it done. She'll be happy again, I hope.
But deep in your mind, you know you must have this beast know as Win 10 you will try again, probably the only thing you did wrong is to not wait long enough for MS's server's to catch up and activate you, I believe you may have (Jumped the gun, so to speak).
lobo11, thanks for the response! This file "en_windows_10_symbols_x64_6903177" was accessible to downloading in cloudy store, whether here it and has interested me in that sense it is necessary to me. It has appeared that is not. Once again thanks!
That are debugging symbols, needed to run Debugging Tools for Windows. Some need to manually update free AeroGlass version.
Upgrading from Windows 8.1 activated with MTK seems to result in a permanently activated machine as well. I've done it on a couple of machines now with success each time.
