That`s not true we check with M$ its only the earlier version of surface 2 that came with Windows 8.1 RT as my neighbour came round to me & we gave the serial no: on the back of the machine & M$ confirm it receives the upgrade How Can I check to see which version of windows is running on it is it the command "winver"
The version shows 6.3(build 9600) Says nothing about R.T Version So Able To Receive The Upgrade Is That Correct
No, I don't think so, maybe something like motherboard, Slave77 said, and he's a big dog around hare: Just wanted to share this here: Someone asked M$ about re-activation after hardware-changes: Microsoft 10 will not permit re-installation if any hardware changes ... but @Computer Alliance contacted M$ about it: We have had an update on this situation from Microsoft. The above story is not true. Your OS is tied to your motherboard but even if you replace the motherboard you will just need to go through the activation process again. You will not need to purchase a retail copy if you plan on changing system parts! Good news folks
we need wait for change log only i see so far is this i post early the build changed:10240.16412.amd64fre.th1.150729-1800
