there are two ESDs: the one offered by Microsoft and provided in the OP of this thread; and the one automatically downloaded to our computer during upgrade process. bot can be decrypted to make ISO. So my question is, after upgrade is complete from 10166 to 10240, which ESD should I use to make the ISO for the clean install in order to keep windows activated?
    thanks

Does anyone here knows if there is a setting to open more than one SETTINGS windows? I'm getting freaking annoyed with it jumping out of my Update & Security when I select something else within SETTINGS.

it is assumed that insiders builds self-activates and the user to install and use remains activated

my question was focused on what was happening from a previously activated with retail windows license signfica then becomes insider, only with the option of reversing the process in the recovery backup windows update

So if you are coming from a genuine Windows 8 Pro retail license which was never upgraded to an Insider build, like I do, you have to perform an upgrade using the RTM build so that MS learns about your hardware and ties it up to your legit Windows 8 key before doing a clean install?

I can't just erse my whole hard disk and install 10240 with my Windows 8 Pro key. Right?

do tests with ISO upgrade from Windows 8.1 pro activated key retail + activation code in phone call to Microsoft, I can reformat, reinstall Windows 8.1 and reactivate with that or many other keys and their activation codes

I find it strange that it is in upgrade mode with ISO 10240 or clean install this system is activated in a permanent version

but when the upgrade is the possibility of returning to the previous version, this is Windows 8.1

anyone gone the simple route and just clean installed Win10? it activates without a key or anything. Hell, we even got someone video it, I can confirm that it does work with no slic or msdm table..

So does upgrading. No key needed for Pro. Enterprise I haven't tried messing with yet.

Why are you guys unactivated? Did you never upgrade to 10240 from an older build?

Clean install or upgrade? Make sure your iso is not corrupted, your hdd/ssd is healthy, etc.

I'm a bit worried about the gpu, is there any working driver for it? I mean in win10.
