    1. You would need to decrypt the .esd if it's from wu
    2. You could then boot into winpe
    3. using diskpart, wipe drive, create new partitions
    4. using dism extract the index you want from the install.esd
    5. use bcdboot to make it bootable.
    6 reboot, done.

    or

    When you decrypt, the scripts usually have an option to create an iso which you can then boot & install from...

    My Windows Update is broken so i wanted to upgrade from iso but install always gives me an error:(

    enterprise x64 upgraded from 10166 to 10240 using windows update, however windows could not be activated. WTF?

    btw, MSA was used before and after.

    Problem solved disabled windows update throw services for a better solution later .. also will not be using my ms account throw my computer ..? Anyway activated:tasty:

    i use enterprise b10240 and that method didn work for me it says error when i try to slmgr /upk 10240
