You can use KMS keys for now with a KMS activation tool or upgrade your eligible existing keys from 7/8.1. No need to get demanding, use the search. KMS keys have been posted here on MDL.
I have 10166 installed which shows activated, but time bombed. I see a lot of advice to 'Upgrade to 10240' for a permanant activation. From what I can tell, I have two alternatives. Either switch the local account to an MSA account via 'Fix Me' to get insider builds, or I use a 10240 esd->iso to update my 10166 system. Is that correct?
I suspect MSA stands for Microsoft Account. So I should upgrade my 8.1 install to 10 with my account and then do the clean install? How do I do that? I already have ISO, so just mount it and let it upgrade?
So if I use the kms activator thingy, can I use the app store and use a online account still or I'll need a valid serial?
Boot into Win 8.1, open your burned ISO/USB and run setup.exe Both EFA11 and RAIN have confirmed that they successfully upgraded Win 7/8.1 systems this way with no problems. Thereafter you should be able to clean install and activate as soon as you connect.
There are two ways: Upgrade from legit system to get your HWID stored at MS server, then the key you used will activate Pro use KMS activation Seems your HWID isn't stored so use KMS or refer to option 1.
still not conformation about RTM :\ [ from ms ] i guess this version is special version for insider and not the RTM
