Hmm, looks like I came to this thread a bit late (don't see too much discussion about this build on the last few pages) Is there anything worthwhile for me to run and install this build (coming from 10166)? Might just wait until RTM at this point, but idk. My only issue with 10166 was the System process just using large amount of RAM randomly.
Your going to have to go to 10162 Thread, first page, download install that after you format, I know, once you have that downloaded, you need to sign into MS account, verify it, they call you with code, and make sure that Microsoft account sign in is running in SERVICES, reboot, if by chance you are not windows Insider you need to join that or none of this will work, after 10162 is activated, you can "UPGRADE to 10240 Its on 3 page of Main Win 10 page
Yes it should work find. As long as 10162 (blog says 162-166 no) you had the key.. reg.. it will upgrade find. I did it over 10176. You might need to go down or up to 10176
Folks, I hope someone could aid me with this issue. Since I updated to the 10240 some of the cursors (text select) have become huge, but if I turn on magnifier the cursor comes back to normal. Anyone?
upgrade to 240 and enjoy an "almost" complete RTM version which gets its final polish end of the month by pushing up version number, nothing more. No more watermark and unlimited activation. Go get it asap prior to Gabe deletes files upon his leisure
I have Windows 10240 but i don't have anymore "windows photo viewer", i'm alone with this problem or not
Is this work 100%: Install Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit , activation with daz loader 2.2.2 , restart pc. Mount ISO Windows 10 10240 pro , go to sources/setup.exe skip product key when ask. Go to upgrade(no custom) then Windows 10 10240 will be activated! Work on Legacy\CSM boot
Upgraded from 8.1 Pro (legit key) to this one (MBR partition). Switched disk to UEFI style and clean installed 10 Pro (without any key) and connected to internet and activated again! Thanks all
I belive it is indeed the RTM. I remember the same thing happened with Windows Vista and Windows 7 and 8. I've beta tested all of them. Microsoft deniend or not said anything and on (General Availability) GA we saw that that build who many people said it was not RTM, was indeed the RTM. Microsoft don't want to let people know that because there is too early. For sure it has been sent to manufacturers. They must have time to presintall it on new PCs and for sure... there are alos the manufacturing plants for media pressing and retail packaging. And yes, on the GA there will be some patches but no more builds (still... for the Insiders, as they stated, there will be other post-RTM builds for Insiders).
Go to main Win 10 page, find 10162, first page, download and install it, you need to sign up for windows insider program first, activate 10162, several post up tells you how Its on 3 page of Main Win 10 page
