Make sure they are in the same directory. Also don't bury it too deep. Use a short directory such as c:\esd
So I can just reinstall my legit windows 8.1 machine and than install this over it and it will activate? SO install w8 or windows 7 - activate it than just run this iso over it and it will be activated? Thanks in advance
You check for new builds in an insider version and it starts downloading. During download you do the powershell bits command to find the link. Then we download directly from the link and mirror it.
never would do this, too many traps to step in and too many useless files to compensate and too much time to run the entire process and too little hope it'll work at the end ... lol
I wouldn't do it either but for those desperate to keep all their files and avoid the clean install. that the way to go...
There was already a torrent posted that contained all the language packs a few pages back. I'm not sure what people are still waiting for. Is there anything I'm missing? EDIT: The link is quoted further up this page. I looks like the one I downloaded.
same thing I moved it to c:\esd still gives me same error but it will create an install.wim just not an iso

Vista times are over quite some years and so far I would expect a malfunction of that old hardware where it is on prior to successfully upgrade to W10 at the end
I know I still have two machines that originally came with vista. I demoed windows 10 on them and they worked like a charm I think for it to work the computer has to have a graphics card that supports aero or something like that...
