    I know I still have two machines that originally came with vista. I demoed windows 10 on them and they worked like a charm :)
    I think for it to work the computer has to have a graphics card that supports aero or something like that...

    Hmm. Dunno what to say. It should work on win7,8,8.1 both x86 and x64

    I've had them since 2007 and their still working like new :)

    some cpus without NX will not work with W10 and I assume that there are many machines out there running Vista up to W7 quite nicely but all beyond is out of range

    What file system were they using in those days Fat32 or NTFS:D

    We shall see how they work Once the 30th arrives :D

    But yea Either way it's gonna be time to buy some new machines soon .

    I still have another one from 2004! I wanted to try windows 10 but I doubt it will work
    It stopped working after I tested the windows 8 developer preview back when :D

    Not really true. ;)
    My Daily PC is a Vista PC (Dell OptiPlex 740) only H/W upgrade its had, is from 2gb to 6gb of RAM.
    But, it ran a lot better once Vista SP1 was released, and got better still with Windows 7. The RAM boost made Windows 8.1 really smooth and Windows 10 is just as, if not better still. :biggrin:

    just a shame its not eligible for the free upgrade. :weep:

    I'm sure they won't have time to update it by then :) but it definitely will be updated to v7 when th2 is out for the public
