I had the same problem with Win10 build 10586 during 3 weeks, several times a day. Then I uninstalled ANTIVIR antivirus ....... and since then, no problem anymore! But before, I had done a lot of other things, but with no result!
I didn't say that! Perhaps it was a remarkable coincidence? But the problem was solved, until now, 2 weeks later.
@Enthousiast: I did a clean install using a 10586 iso from msdn, like you suggested, and it solved all the problems that I had with an 10586 iso that was not from msdn. With the 10586 iso from esd from topic "[Index] Windows 10 Builds", I had the following problems: - pc freezes, requires pressing the reset button; - on non-admin account, changes I make at "default apps" are not applied; - proper icons are displayed for files, but only after manually clearing and deleting the icon cache; - sometimes, menus show only a white background, and show text only after mouse cursor is moved where the text is located in the menu. With "en_windows_10_multiple_editions_version_1511_updated_feb_2016_x64_dvd_8379634.iso" from topic [[Paul's "X" files]], all problems listed above do not exist: - pc doesn't freeze; - changes I make at "default apps" are applied on non-admin accounts; - no need to clear and delete the icon cache in order to get proper icons for files; - text in menus is permanently visible (no cases so far where it is needed to manually make the text visible, by moving the cursor over the invisible text).
The original esd is exactly the same as the msdn iso in build but because the esd > iso is created on your pc it does have a different checksum. The final install should be exactly the same. But ultimatly i'm glad your problems are solved.
Has anyone experienced loss of video signal with build 10586 ? I installed with At power options, at "turn off the display" I have "10 minutes", and at "put the computer to sleep" I have "never". After 10 minutes, video signal is turned off, and the monitor turns off. When I move the mouse, video signal is turned on, and monitor turns on. With build 10586 I had one case, so far, when if I move the mouse, the video signal doesn't turn on, and therefore the monitor doesn't turn on, and in order to force the video signal to turn on, I have to press the reset button to cause windows to restart. This problem did not exist when I used Windows 7 SP1 on the same computer. Is this a problem caused by 10586, or by the gpu driver ? The gpu is Radeon HD5450, the driver version is 15.201.1151.1008 (04.11.2015) and it was installed automatically through Windows Update.
Most likely not, but who knows, we talking about MS. CBB is Current Branch for Business, LTSB is not CBB. The sfc /scannow error is a known bug and can be solved, the solution is posted several times here on MDL. I believe I've read somewhere on MDL it's been fixed in the 14316 IP.
yep, I'm aware of that sfc - bug but I don't know if it still is on later versions. Thought it was solved some builds back already. Anyway if it is still there I cannot help even with genuine MSDN files
That's what i wanted to say ps the problem sfc finds errors after clean install was solved but now sfc won't run because of an error, that can be solved too (i'm not able to find the posted solution atm ).
