Hey I am trying to convert this ESD to ISO using the ESD tool 5 and it tells me "Failed to enable short name support on F:" what does that mean.
I obviously meant that it shouldn't expire according to other people who claim they don't have a watermark... winver.exe It's an upgrade of the previous release preview build. Originally I was running Windows 8.1 PRO WMC with all updates (genuine). I went through just about every build that existed, including Win 10 RTM. Nope. It doesn't go away after a reboot. Immediately after the upgrade there was no watermark though. It only appeared after rebooting when I've installed the insider hub update.
Must be something to do with upgrading from a preview build, try a clean install, I've rebooted many times and there is no watermark
The 'Insider Hub' update should be the cause. Why don't you rearm the system and reactivate it? That may likely fix the watermark issue.
I updated from the last build 1057* and I don't have the water mark. But I have not done the insider Hub update yet so maybe that will change once I do it.
Well this is just further proof - all they did was apply the MSU coming on Tuesday to a Preview build. There should be 10240 refresh ESD's then.
Joined insider again yesterday, installed the build on the fast ring, and then I was removed from Insider builds, Microsoft surely knows too much about me. Thanks anyway One thing that bothers me is that we only get colored titlebars if we choose to display color on the AC and Start
Code: reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" | findstr BuildLabEx Haven't seen one yet
delete tokens.dat and let sppsvc rebuild it again. (just do a restart) than maybe enter your key again and the system than should work correctly.
