Im sick of 10240 its absolute garbage im going for the insider build, better live dangerously than depressed with ..240 garbage.
Did anything change between 240 and 586 in terms of memory management ? After upgrading, Its seems I have a memory leak. After a reboot, my computer sits at 20% of 8gb and now its idling and using 60% ? Just wondering if anybody noticed something similar or maybe I should try a clean install.
I did test last night on 2 spare computers, 1 computer, installed saved nothing, no watermark, winver, no expire, 2nd computer, installed, saved everything, had watermark, winver expired in 1 year, ran sfc /scannow no errors, did not fix watermark or winver, so bottom line, save nothing.
It's funny that I'm basically running a Windows 10 installation based on a 8.1 Professional Media Center key based on a Windows 8.1 key, based on a Windows 8.0 upgrade key, based on a Windows 7 Ultimate key, based on a Windows Vista Ultimate key that originates from a Windows XP installation. Anyway, that shouldn't matter since I never followed such an absurd upgrade path.
If I do a clean install with 10586 and Im not an insider, will I be able to upgrade to rtm next week using windows update ? Thanks
Yes, and you will not have to upgrade again next week, if they add bits or bytes, you will get them through WU
