Hi Folks, Sorry if this off-topic but anyone managed to install Windows 10, using a USB 3 port, without touching the boot.wim file? I just want to make sure. So does boot.wim file in Windows 10 include support for USB 3 by default? Thanks.
Yes it works, ensure that the setting in the BIOS AHCI/Legacy is set right, as well as the MBR/UEFI/GPT is configured right on the USB stick. Use Rufus tool to burn the image on the USB, it will allow you to make the necessary changes to boot and install.
UXStyle and UltraUXThemePatcher both work, but I've not seen any updated themes to work with this build. Hopefully once this build is out to the GA, the theme makers will update their themes to work with it.
My PC turned off, when it booted again, Start Menu, Search even the volume setting don't work. Rebooted several times and still... Now i'm doing a system refresh :$ Events log show some Kernel error, and some apps errors...
Anyone getting any errors in the Group Policy editor? I installed 10586 Enterprise x64 on 2 machines and both pop this up whenever I open the editor: i.imgur.com/U0FEsC3.jpg
Really? I will note that in the back of my mind. Been in the IT industry for over 20 years and I have to say that I've never swapped a SATA cable out to see if diagnostics change. Of course back in the day I changed plenty of IDE and Floppy cables out. lol Thanks for the heads up.
