Starting to get this on workstations now. How does this update get applied? Is it the same way Insider builds are deployed with an hour or more wait (mechanical HDD) at the black install screen, or is it done within Windows with a 10-20 minute install time?
There identical just a different file name Code: en-gb_windows_10_multiple_editions_version_1511_x64_dvd_7223718.iso SHA1: 250F8FF043CEB395F95CEE6120EFC323F69E7F8D Code: Win10_1511_EnglishInternational_x64.iso SHA1: 250F8FF043CEB395F95CEE6120EFC323F69E7F8D
The first Hard Disk I bought on a Visit to Dubai from the distributors themselves, the second one from a reputable vendor in Germany "it has a firmware that is not listed on Seagate's page"??. The third was from Seagate themselves a s a replacement to the one that failed. But you are right, one has to be vigilant when buying electro/mechanical devices. I bought a Canon digital camera from Germany sometime back, and on my visit to Dubai, a friend liked my camera and decided to buy an identical one locally. I asked him later, how does he like his camera, he said it was fine except in certain conditions it did not perform well. I told him that was a known issue which Canon solved by firmware update. He asked me if I could update his camera's firmware, which I agreed. To download and upgrade the firmware you need to enter the camera's serial number (to avoid flashing wrong devices), his camera (which was visually identical to mine) did not have a serial #!!! The seller agreed to replace it after he threatened to report it to the authorities.
For those who already downloaded the ISOs, please confirm the whole build number for Enterprise En-US. is it build 10586.0, teh same as the build number of the leaked ESDs? or 10586.3?
I don't know what they are talking about referring to boot time 30% faster than 7, well thats a lie on my computer, boot times are 30% slower than 7, sure I am running 10 cause gta v likes it but boot times are atrocious on my hdd in fact every win 10 build I have used had horrible boot times, phenom 960t cpu, 500 gb 7200rpm hdd, msi 1 gb 7770 gpu, 8 gb ram fastest boot times on my machine have been 7 then 8 and 8.1 surprisingly
I guess it's different for every machine. From cold boot, my win10 machine takes 1.7-2 seconds (last Bios time shown in task manager) vs windows8.1 witch was around 3-4 seconds and win7 4-5 seconds.
10586 Insider and RTM build same? Is the build we got as Inside Preview a week back exactly the same as RTM build people are getting through Windows Update? If yes, I need not download it again. Please do tell if picture is clear about this issue. Thanks!!
I just noticed I could turn off auto updates of store apps in Win 10 Home New or something I never noticed since I upgraded everything to Pro because of not being able to do that before . Edit: Googled it and saw it's been that way since August
So it's the same insider build. Doing a clean install, and thanks for the APP for disk errors. I'll run it as soon I finish my install
