The English Home/Pro (x86) ISO that I just made with the media tool is about 400MB smaller than Windows 10 (Multiple Editions), Version 1511 (x86) - DVD (English) on MSDN. Does anyone know why?
They are. An install.esd is compressed :recovery and install.wim is compressed :max dism /Export-Image /SourceImageFile:"x:\install.wim" /SourceIndex:1 /DestinationImageFile:"x:\install.esd" /Compress:recovery /Checkintegrity
Does Windows 10 (Multiple Editions) V1511(x64) - DVD English on MSDN let you decide what edition you want to install?
This one right? File Name: en_windows_10_multiple_editions_version_1511_x64_dvd_7223712.iso Languages: English SHA1: 875EC108288B9F581E5D8099CF0EDB79F0F3E483
I did update today using the MSDN multi-version released today. Get nothing from Windows Update even though I have 10586.0. My laptop, still on 10240, also got no updates today. Maybe that means it's not released in the US yet? I updated today with: en_windows_10_multiple_editions_version_1511_x64_dvd_7223712.iso, Languages: English SHA1: 875EC108288B9F581E5D8099CF0EDB79F0F3E483
You should get: KB3105211 (cumulative) Released: 10-11-2015 (November 10th) KB3103688 (flash) Released: 10-11-2015 (November 10th) If not, your windows is broken.
Technically you can upgrade, but instead of install just the updates, it install the whole system, again.
