Nope--installed Pro just fine...I published that several pages back and so have a lot of other people. This is simplicity itself but confusion reigns, as usual. If you upgrade using the media creation tool to build your iso, and you run the media tool from Win10 Pro x64 (or Win7/8x64 Pro) the resulting ISO will be Pro x64 10586. From there you can do what you want--clean install or upgrade.
That's all okay, but when you uncheck the checkbox which states: "use settings for my pc" you can download other versions.
Requesting en-gb_windows_10_enterprise_n_version_1511_x64_dvd_7224300.iso please BTW is there no way to run the media creation tool to upgrade Enterprise? If not it's extremely annoying of them to not allow this.
thats why it's called entreprise, normal users aren't supposed to have this version .... but this version is the one we whant because we can have a little more control on the updates, the defer updates option .....
I have Windows 10 Enterprise 10240 MAK Permanently Activated, After Upgrading to 10586, Remain activated But Original Product Key has been changed, Any one else observed.
It was rumored some time ago that these would accept w8 licenses from corresponding builds; i.e; Core, pro, etc. from a clean install instead of the upgrade route. Has anyone found this to be the case? TIA.
I have Win10 10240 installed and activated on my laptop. Can I do a clean install with the Win10 1511 ISO and have it activate or do I have to upgrade first?
Upgrade First Or.... if u have activation backup , don't worry just create backup with "Advanced Tokens Manager" restore it after u clean install if windows ask u .. enjoy
