This week I'll also try a "reset" on one of the machines (don't want to remove the oem laptop recovery partitions), and a clean install on the other to see how it goes. I'm also curious to see if the get started app error goes away in safe mode.
Hello. If i download the iso from MediaCreationTool now will come 10586 or the old 10240 ? Anyone knows ?
Sfc without erros. Dism too. But I still can't download nothing on Store or WU I honestly thinking about going back to 10240. I'll try one more In Place Update
I was having trouble getting updates, too, until I set my O&O ShutUp10 back to Windows defaults, and then it came through. Looks like the utility was blocking it, so if you have an anti-spy program you can try disabling it temporarily.
I don't have any anti-spy app. The error code 0x80248007, if anyone know how to fix it... - I've already tried reseting Store - Fix10 - Stoping and Start WU services
After a clean install, and right after the first boot regedit was OK. But it started hanging on search as it did few reboots later, probably after downloading all Windows/office updates or some software I'm yet to blame. Still happens on safe mode, but the program simply terminates when pressig Cancel (no restart prompt). And btw, RegScanner has no problem to search a string with all registry places selected. The Get Started app error remains on safe mode.
Im installing the Windows 10 update on my laptop now(First laptop then desktop) whats weird to me at least is that the Updating Windows reminds me a lot of when I first installed windows 10, goes through copying files, installing features and drivers, configuring settings..so just want to be sure that I am NOT going to lose anything that I have on my computer right now that its just updating and not reformatting
So, Any new ADK? Because there is DISM.EXE File version 10.0.10586.0 in \windows\system32, I just guess there should be a new ADK release for Windows 10 Build 10586.
Answer from Microsoft Answer Desk regarding the slow and laggy boot Oh Sorry we can't resolve this one. You will need to pay for the subscribed support and there we will try to fix it. Don't waste your time trying to fix it with MS chat. They aren't going to say us nothing.
Dunno why you thought you'd get much help from MS support anyway, they just read scripts from a screen
